Emily Dickinson

For the past month we've been studying Emily Dickinson. We started our study by watching Ms. Klein's introduction (shown below). Ms. Klein showed us pictures of Emily Dickinson, her family, and home. We  learned about her life, and read some of her 1,789 poems. We also decoded a few of her riddle poems and a poem in her handwriting. Each of us memorized a poem by Emily. Ms. Klein made us a special treat of Emily's original gingerbread. Here is a link to the recipe:

We visited her house, the Homestead, and her brother's house, the Evergreens, at the end of our unit.
                Below is the poem we decoded. Feel free to print it out and try solving it.
